Well I opened an old blender project on 4.0.1 and ran it with the latest needle add-on downloaded from the site. I generated a node project and tried running it but there was no reaction - it says running but nothing opened and bug report doesn’t work (check image for the reason listed in it), it there anything I missed to do?
I can go back to 3.6 at any time so it’s not a big issue right now but did want to try running on 4.0
Hello there – we have an experimental AI bot that might be able to help you with your question. Would you like to try this out?
How it works:
Reply to the messages of the bot that end with a thread_id to interact with it and ask follow-up questions. You can also mention the bot directly in this channel to get help.
Hello Strifinity, to assist you with the issue you’re facing, I need a bit more information on the error message or console output you’re seeing when you try to run your project. Since the browser tool to view uploaded files is not available, could you please provide the content or a description of the error message from the bug report or any console logs that you might have?
Additionally, here are a few general steps to check when facing such issues:
Ensure that you have the latest version of the Needle Engine add-on installed in Blender.
Make sure that Node.js is properly installed on your system and that the correct version is being used.
Verify that all file paths and project dependencies are correctly set up in the generated node project.
Check if the application’s build and run scripts are correctly configured in your package.json.
To help you further, please provide the specific error message or describe the behavior in more detail.
The console doesn’t show any errors and the cmd doesn’t stay open, it shows a bunch of loading messages and processes and just dissapears after a while
Did you create a node project or a HTML project?
Also would you mind trying without the " & " in the directory name? I don’t think that should mess stuff up but it might
