I’ve just downloaded and successfully installed the latest Needle for Blender addon but I’m not able to enable it. When I click the checkbox in Blender prefs (00.jpg) I get an error (01.jpg).
Hope you can help with some advice
EXTRA NOTES
I’m running Blender 4.0.1 on Mac OS Ventura 13.6.1
Hello there – we have an experimental AI bot that might be able to help you with your question. Would you like to try this out?
How it works:
Reply to the messages of the bot that end with a thread_id to interact with it and ask follow-up questions. You can also mention the bot directly in this channel to get help.
I would advise you to check the error message you received when trying to enable the Needle addon in the Blender preferences. The error message would typically provide insights into what went wrong. Common issues may include missing dependencies, version compatibility problems, or conflicts with other installed addons.
If the error message references a specific issue, please follow any instructions it may contain. Otherwise, you may try these general troubleshooting steps:
Ensure that the version of the Needle addon is compatible with Blender 4.0.1.
Look for any documentation or release notes included with the Needle addon for any additional steps needed for installation or compatibility notes.
Check if all necessary files for the addon were extracted correctly in the Blender addons directory.
Try reinstalling the addon to make sure the installation process completes without errors.
If after these steps the issue persists, you might want to contact the support provided by the addon’s developers, or check the Blender and Needle Engine communities for common issues and solutions. Since you’ve provided the image files (00.jpg, 01.jpg), examining them for error messages and codes would be the next step, but unfortunately, I’m unable to view these files directly.
