I need help

Hi Saad Baig! I’m here to help. Can you provide more details about the issue you’re facing with the low quality of your GLTF after building? Specifically, mention the steps you took before the build and any settings you may have adjusted in Needle Engine or your GLTF export settings. This information will help me assist you better!

instead of round corner of the sun glasses, after the build it becomes very sharp and pointy like box. Auto compress is set to false. there’s nothing else that i changed

Hi Saad Baig! Based on your description, it sounds like there might be an issue with the material or geometry settings when exporting your GLTF model for the build. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:

  1. Check Model Export Settings: Ensure that your model’s export settings in Blender or the tool you used are set correctly. Look for options related to mesh smoothing or subdivisions.

  2. Material Settings: Verify that the materials applied to the glasses support the desired shading. Sometimes, using a different shader can affect the appearance in a build.

  3. Normals and Smoothing Groups: Ensure that the normals are correctly aligned, and your model has sufficient smoothing groups to maintain roundness.

  4. Test in Different Environments: See how the model behaves in different rendering environments or on different platforms, as this can sometimes highlight platform-specific issues.

If these suggestions don’t resolve your issue, please provide specifics about your model format and any other relevant details!

doesn’t work.

Hi,

do you have a link to the build?

It seems like the mesh LODs are not being updated. I’d love to understand why. What version are you using? (Needle Engine and samples package)

As a workaround you can disable mesh LODs - add the “ProgressiveLoadingSettings” component to the “Export” GameObject and turn off “Generate LODs”

you can try it out here.

I’m using the latest update of needle engine. I’ll try with disabling generate LOD.

The solution worked but now it takes longer to load the page.

Thanks, that’s already the version without LODs right?

Could you send the scene in a bugreport so we can look at it? In Unity use the menu item “Needle Menu/Report a bug/from current scene”

No i updated the link now. I wanted to test without LODs. Do you want the scene with LODs in the bug report?

The bugreporter will upload your project with the necessary files (the files included in this particular scene) which will include the source assets. This is just for debugging and should include all we need

I have submitted the bug report.

Should be fixed in samples version 0.19.6-pre
