thanks, and could you also look up the iOS version? (via Settings/General/About)

by user 395602247196737546

iOS 16.2

by user 300386587278049291

Ok so @Marcel_Wiessler1 :cactus: I dare you to upgrade your iOS device to 16.x

by user 395602247196737546

haha

Tested today:

  • iPad with iPadOS 16.3.1 :white_check_mark:
  • iPhone with iOS 16.1.2 :white_check_mark:
  • both with Node.js 18.13.0
  • vite 3.2.5 (checked in node_modules/vite/package.json)

Which vite version are you using in your projects? (see the package.json)

3.2.5 also

The crash it produced on iOS 16~~.1.1~~ was not just a simple Safari crash, it also kicked me out of Wifi, killed the Update download process and maybe other things. So something like a partial reboot which is really odd.

Which Unity version? @Marcel_Wiessler1 :cactus: said it would not make a difference in this case but looking at the reports here, @BMAN and me both tested on 2021.3.x

by user 395602247196737546

It’s the same for 16.3.1. As said, really odd. The top bar shows only LTE connectivity while I’m (without doubt) connected via wifi.

by user 395602247196737546

And it’s also the same for me with 2020.3.45f which I finally tested just now. Before it was 2021.3.14f.

I have not tested this for awhile - I’ll try again tonight (9pm EST) and report back any additional details that I can.

My scene loads for a brief moment and then reloads again, then Chrome crashes “Can’t open this page :(” …my scene is far from minimal now, but my sceneRoot.glb is only 5mb

by user 300386587278049291

Sounds pretty much like my experience. You could try with the “Minimal” template just to be sure it’s not because of the size.

by user 395602247196737546

Really strange. We’ll continue monitoring this. It’s unclear to me why it works on literally all our test devices

I really wonder what’d happen if I connected to your local server or the other way around.

(I even tried different wifi routers with different wifi standards btw)
