Will there be links added to the Needle Samples pages for the sample scenes for Blender?
I was running through what Needle can do with a Blender user this morning and they were getting confused about the workflows as the Samples download button just downloads a unity.package file like here
Obviously there are the samples here in the docs:
I think it would be really useful if the download button stated if it was Unity only/Blender only or allow you to select which software to download the sample scene for.
Hi @Rob_F there’s a download button on the samples website and in the docs - the blender samples button currently opens a drive directory from which you can download the blend files that you’re interested in.
What do you mean by “if the button stated what software it downloads it for”? I think all buttons do that - if not please let me know where it’s missing.
Sorry, I just meant the links here always download a Unity sample, it could be helpful if there was a download link for the different versions like a Unity sample download button and a Blender sample download button
Good catch – indeed we need to update that to ensure we show both buttons / show an option for what you want to download them for. For now basically the Blender samples are in the Drive folder that Marcel mentioned, and can be downloaded from there.
