Stencil Portals example missing scripts if you don't use URP

When I open the Stencil example from the latest samples, the camera is missing a script.

Also, the UniversalRenderPipelineAssetStencil and UniversalRenderPipelineAssetStencil_Renderer assets in the samples package folder show they have missing scripts as well and can’t be dragged in to the Quality settings slot.

Do you have compiler errors on Unity?

I don’t think it did but i am regenerating the projecy in a different folder to get rid of the temporary project thing… will let you know

thre is a missing camera error… and EBADENGINE. errors from @squoosh

i can see though if i ,anually select the URPAsset…ion the inspector… it says Missin Mono Script

Thats no problem (its because youre using an node version that they dont support yet officially but it works fine as far as im aware)

That means urp is not installed?

Can you check the console for package manager errors? You can also try to restart unity, usually it asks to start safe mode if it has errors like that

i mean selecting it in the package… in the scene itself… the camera has a missing mono script but i think it’s the URP settings that’s the problem… i remember looking at this sample in an earlier version and the magic all happened because of the URP settings scriptable objects

Yes if urp has problems then stencils wont do anything (because the urp asset contains the settings)

Try restarting unity please to figure out why urp doesnt load. That needs to be fixed first

OK… it’s not installed so i must have just created this new project from the wrong template… installing now
