Error when trying to open ts file

I’m seeing this error when i click a .ts file link in the component window in the inspector.
it launched the windows default .ts file type pop up.

Do you have vscode installed? When the default dialog shows up it would mean you dont have any app assigned to open ts files with? Is that possible?

I though i did, and i just reinstalled it, and in that selection pop up, it appears and it does let me open the .ts file - but that warning is still there

Then it wasnt added to the windows path perhaps? I assume you get an error too when you enter code --version in a terminal?

you’re right it’s not in the path  my path is too long already

added it to path, works ok in shell, still same behaviour in editor - i’ll restart soon and report if this happens.

Yes I think youd have to restart Unity+Hub for it to refresh the env variables.
Which script file are you clicking on for example?
