Needle license server not reachable

Hi there,

I am using Needle 3.52 without any issues. But when I update to 4.x I receive the following error in Unity:
Can’t reach local Needle License Server on port 8424
I have observed this issue already since several days and from different networks. When I change back to 3.x everything works well again. Also tried different Unity versions (2022.3 & 6000)

I’m sorry, I couldn’t find a response but notified the team :brain:

Hello Markus,

could you try updating to the latest beta (4.1.0-beta.5) if you haven’t already? And then send a bugreport via the menu item at Needle Engine/Report a bug?

After that try going to the ProjectSettings/Needle and at the bottom at Troubleshooting try clicking “Delete npm cache”. Let me know if that helps.

Thanks for your response. I tried again with 4.1.0-beta.5 but the issue remains. The “Troubleshooting” is not visible for me:

I have sent you a bug report. Best regards

Ah my bad the button will be available in the next update.

You can delete it manually tho. Please try again after deleting this folder: C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\npm-cache\_npx

Can you try updating to 4.1.0-beta.7 if that fixes the issue for you automatically?

Thanks for the fast feedback. I can confirm that 4.1.0-beta.7 solved my issue. Best regards.
